jstimson Posted September 4, 2014 Share Posted September 4, 2014 I suspect the answer is no, but is there any way to change the default settings of the TI RS232 card?The power on settings are pretty low speed, 300 baud. I like to LIST programs out to a terminal program on my pc since it's easier to print/read/debug/etc. However it gets old having to type in LIST "RS232.BA=9600.DA=8" every time.I haven't taken the clamshell apart yet, are there any hidden dip-switches or simple changes I can make to set a new default? +Ksarul Posted September 4, 2014 Share Posted September 4, 2014 The only physical settings on the card would be the jumpers that set the card as RS-232-1 (with RS-232/1, RS-232/2 and PIO(/1)) or as RS-232-2 (with RS-232/3, RS-232/4 and PIO/2). This requires the burning of an EPROM to refect the changes. By doing so, the initial baudrate could be anything you want. When a certain two key combination is pressed, it would insert the appropriate string and press enter automagically. This would require no hardware, no soldering and no burning of chips.
