+atari2600land
I somehow changed the type of way Windows Explorer opens .adf files. Now I can't get it back to the way it used to treat it, like a folder. How do I change this back to what it used to be, or is there an actual program that can open and see what is in an .adf file (and don't say adfview. I downloaded it and nothing happened.) skosh
Windows does not know anything about adf files and they are just images of an Amiga disk. You apparently had a shell extension of some sort and I'd imagine that adfview would solve your issue as much as you hate to hear it. OldSchoolRetroGamer
Can you not simply right click the .ADF in windows and under OPEN WITH select something else ? Works for me............
+atari2600land
The file opens just fine in WinUAE, but there was a time where I clicked on the adf file and it acted like a folder and a bunch of stuff opened up. I want to do it again. Here's what it looks like when I do it:
Nebulon
It sounds like you have been using some kind of Windows app that understands .ADF archives. If that's the case and you can find out what app that was then you could just re-associate .adf filles with that program. I'm actually curious to know what program it was that you were using to view the contents of ADFs within MS Windows.
