Tempest
Anyone use the original Wii with WiiMc to play video files off discs or stream from their PC? How well does this work? I have a spare Wii that I was thinking about hooking up to the upstairs TV for this purpose so I don't have to keep dragging my PS3 around. I've heard that due to the Wii's slower processor that many videos lag.
Shannon
It is fine for SD video and lower but if you try anything 720p or higher you will get lag.
Tempest
Is there a way to play videos at a lower resolution on WiiMc? A lot of the video files I have are 1080p, but I don't have to watch them in 1080p, 480i would work just fine.

But that would be more effort than it's worth (just get another 360 or PS3 for that).
