Everyone can see who has paid. It is on furteks page. He seems to keep good track on what is going on. And he has not ordered parts yet.

He has ordered the parts, or at least he said he did! I had replies before and after I ordered back at the end of October. I am sure everything is OK with Furtek, but I cannot say that about Candle since he's not posted or replied to messages since August 2013 =/

I know Furtek has been busy with some other more interesting projects - did anyone see his video on the Disney parade signal hacking?

Shame it didn't go to plan, would have been very funny.

It is disappointing that we haven't heard anything from Candle, at the very least a "Sorry, very busy with real life, another project, etc" and an update on ETA. He was on AtariAge Dec 12, 2014. I think he has another project still in the pipeline that needs to be delivered (an Atari 8-bit project) too.

Thanks Karri, I forgot about Furtekk's page. I am on the list. I'm going for McWill's and this one too. I'm some way down the list so will keep my eye on it and ensure I pay in time! I'd also be interested to hear Gadget's feedback when he gets his.

Sorry for not opening up a new thread now, because I thought people interested in video-out mods for the Atari Lynx will
watch the 2 existing threads anyway, so I posted this here in the 2 threads and I hope that´s OK for you.

Here you see the new mod from Mc Will, just in case that might be interesting for some of you:

So this mod requires soldering a bunch of tiny wires (I assume that's what you mean by 'connect'). If so is there someone doing installs? I've tried my hand at soldering before with disastrous results and I'm not going to destroy my Lynx.

As explained in the video you can solder it yourself or ask the maker of that mod to do it for you. If you have never done it before, this mod should not be your first project. ;-)

Yeah this level of soldering is beyond my skills. :(

Anyone in the US doing this? Shipping my Lynx to the UK might be a bit pricey.

I'll be doing mine once everything arrives. After that, I could do yours for you. I can't say I'd want to do a bunch of them though. ;)

With regards to Furrtek, I've been contacted by 3 people telling me that he takes money and does not provide a product. This could be inaccurate information, but one or two of them are highly trusted members on the Neo Geo forum. Since I've not had a reply to 2 or 3 emails now since before XMAS I can only assume that he has no intention of sending me the VGA board I paid for. Until I receive mine, please be warned that you may or may not get anything you buy from Furrtek.

In support of my concern, here's one example I've just quickly found online:-

@ GadgetUK :

I am sorry to read your bad story :(

furrtek worked well at the beginning of the project but now it does not seem to work on it.
I contacted régulièrment because I am still waiting the kits I ordered but it does not answer frequently.

In recent news he had promised me to finish my kits and that of an Englishman who had paid in advance (probably you).

I'll try to contact him again to the hope he does at least your kit and mine.

I was happy to announce this kit but I'm disappointed by the end of this story.
Fortunately McWill proposed us his wonderful kit!

Thanks for the information! I am hoping he sorts himself out! He did admit on the neo geo forum he is bad at communication. I can understand delays and problems with work / family etc - It's just really important to let people know what's going on when they buy things from you. I don't want to see him destroy his reputation. If he came back and said it was going to be several weeks, not a problem. But not replying to emails makes people think they have been ripped off.

Wow, a load of uncertainty. It'd be interesting to hear if he offers up a reason for discontinuing the project.

I am disappointed. I have a lynx ready and waiting for this mod. I was looking forward to the ability to plug my lynx into my TV via scart - as my large TV accepts scart and not VGA. I really liked the look of the box on the back of the lynx too.

I do have McWill's mod coming so that is good. Maybe the McWill mod is what made Furtek stop.

I think he's been swamped with the Neo Geo adaptor he did. Wish I had known about - I would have bought one of those =\ I think he just needs some time! Will see how thing transpire and will update later. Regards McWills LCD screen and VGA - It's like buses, none turn up for ages, then 3 all at once lol
