Atari 800 Packaging Question

Hello, just bought an Atari 800 that came with the computer, outer box, styrofoam, power supply, RF switch box, and a basic cartridge. My questions is what else came with the computer when bought new? Would like to make it CIB if possible. Searched the net and couldn't find out any info. Would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks in advance!

Didn't the 800 come in an early box (brown cardboard) and a late box (silver)? Which do you have? I seem to recall a loose-page binder manual for the old Ataris and a center-stapled manual for the newer ones.

I'm pretty sure they did not come with BASIC.

This one came in the silver box. The serial number on the computer matches the outer box. Do you know what type of manual came with it? Got a pic? I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

I don't have my original (silver box) Atari 800 from 1983, but I DO have the manual, ironically enough - found in a binder full of documents stuff into a cardboard box from the 80's. It looked like this.

Thanks for the cool pic! Do you remember if that's all that came with it? Thanks again!

Well, there was the RF TV switchbox, the AC adapter of course, a single-sheet addendum to the manual indicating the machine came fully-expanded to 48K and the RAM slot cover was now affixed with screws and not thumb-tabs, etc. I have that too, but I don't have a pic handy. I'm sure there was also a warranty card as well.

Thank you for the reply. Would really like to see that and possibly get that stuff. Not sure where, didn't see anything on ebay. Thanks again!
