Nukey Shay
"I've figured out how to turn dog shit into gold. So if you see me sniffing around your shoes at the end of the show, you'll know that I'm looking for the dog shit. It's gold to ME. Know what I'm talking about? I think that you do." -Steve Martin

+Ksarul
You seem to have missed the whole point of the original responses. The boards you had were copies--and as such they have little or no value to the collector community at large. Are there exceptions to this? Possibly--but only if the ROM on the board was one that had never been seen before or contained code that was different from the known versions of a cartridge. It will not magically increase in value just because it is a pirate prototype of the commercial pirate cartridge. I make my own cartridges all the time for the systems I have--they are not made to dupe anyone into thinking that they have somehow struck gold, they are made to satisfy a need to use real hardware to play games that are otherwise unobtainable as originals. Passing off pirated material as valuable prototypes is basically theft--it is no wonder you had the reaction here that you did once you ignored the well-minded responses at the beginning of the thread. I wish you luck and I hope the unfortunate game store owner doesn't figure out that you took him for a lot more than the items were worth, based on a price (and a product status) that came solely from you. You may have burned a major bridge there, as he will be unlikely to trust anything you try to sell him in the future. . .
OldSchoolRetroGamer
If you cant say anything to help out with this then dont fucking type your bullshit please. Just about every reply has been to help out, you simply didn't like the answers or hear what you were hoping / expecting to, tough, in a public forums you have to suck it up, you cannot control who or how people respond and especially being new here please take your demands and go. YOU came to US for information and you got replies from collectors much more knowledgeable than you, you don't have to like it but it is what it is. You sold them to a store owner who clearly overpaid (if that is even true, comes off as pretty coincidental and quick, convenient too!) but if so, CONGRATULATIONS ! Maybe he will make a profit if he can manage to find someone gullible enough, that's not us though sorry. Nukey Shay
Actually, it was only a barely-relevant, somewhat amusing quote that I recalled after seeing the word "prototype" mashed together with the description of "homemade". I didn't realize how much more relevant it actually turned out to be. Apologies.
