There should be no problems running without shielding, just don't tell the FCC. In other countries many computers and consoles were sold without any shielding, the US is unusually strict about these things. Having seen this pic I am not minded to use the shield now! I do expect to see those two chips glow white-hot when I'm in full swing with Defender. I need to pick up a spare Jaguar board, since I'm not quite willing to transplant my main Jaguar system, and I'm thinking of replacing the power LED with a white one. Nice job on the assembled systems posted so far! How much do spare Jag boards go for? I have a nice looking console I bought NIB from Best last Summer and as such I probably wouldn't want to gut it. Luckily, there were a couple of "no power/as-is" consoles on flea-bay for about $50. For some reason I was under the impression it would be several months yet, I forget where I read that. Mike's probably gotten a million "Where's my stuff?" emails so I don't want to inundate him with another one just yet (again, I'm in no hurry for this). My only concern is I've had packages stolen off my porch before (well, just one, but still) and with no shipping confirmation, there's no way to know if that happened or it just hasn't gotten here yet. When it's the end of May and it's still not here, I'll be concerned.
