+johnnywc
Hi all, I just dug my Harmony cart out of the attic and I'm trying to get it to work but I'm having issues. I've successfully reflashed the eeprom to 1.04e_NTSC and copied the hbios_1.05 to the a 32G FAT Kingston SD Card (copies as hbios.bin). When I try to start the Harmony cart it just spins the logo. If I try to start the Harmony cart without the SD card it says error SD card not found, please insert and press the button. EDIT: I let the logo spin for a while and now it says FAT filesystem not found. Any ideas? I've reformatted the SD Card on Windows XP and 7, both as FAT. Any help is greatly appreciated. This did work way back when (probably last tried about 4 years ago), although I'm not sure if this was the same SD Card (I just took the one off my CC2 and reformatted it). Note: I don't have any games on the cart yet - is that required for it to start up? I originally did but removed them when I re-formatted. UPDATE: I found a 1G SD card that was loaded with games that I probably used with the Harmony way back when and it worked fine. I am having some issues loading up a few games but at least it's working now. Thanks! Edited January 7, 2015 by johnnywc
cd-w
I'm glad to hear that you got it working. Some SD cards don't stick fully to the spec. What make and size was the card? I hope tthis means you are returning to Atari 2600 programming?! Chris

Thanks Chris. The make is a 32MB Kingston (I incorrectly said 32G above). It's the one I used to use in the CC2 before my 7800 went belly up. I hope tthis means you are returning to Atari 2600 programming?! I am involved in a few side projects; nothing too big but it's been fun getting back into it!
iesposta
Glad you getting a little bit back into this hobby! My Harmony stopped working a few times. Had to hook it back up with USB to the computer and send it the files. Seems your problem was the SC Card.
cd-w
Ah - it is probably an MMC card rather than an SD card. There was a bug in the MMC protocol that is fixed in the upcoming bios 0.6. I'm looking forward to seeing your projects! Chris

I thought I had flashed the BIOS 1.06 beta and tested but it didn't work for that either. The MMC card works fine in Windows (read/write, etc). Thanks - I'm taking it slow but I do miss game development so hopefully something worthwhile comes out of all this tinkering...
Trebor
Thanks - I'm taking it slow but I do miss game development so hopefully something worthwhile comes out of all this tinkering... Your games on the PC is still enjoyed and played. Lady Bug for the 2600 was nothing short of amazing and incredible. Game development misses you! Here's to hoping Harmony helps ignite a fire.
