killersquirel
Hey, I was thinking about this recently, let me know what you think. First, some ideas for games that could be hacked (or new programed versions) to create new life into them. Minature Golf - All new courses can be made to create a minature golf 2 game. Golf - All new courses can be made Canyon Bomber - Create new multi level canyons to bomb. Also a hack could be made to make the targets like the original arcade game where you bomb specific point targets. Dodge Em - Make it so it doesn't end and also can create new levels. Possibly shrink everything to get an extra lane or two. Brain Games - All new mind type games. Sky Diver - Multilevel places to land. Also the sprites can be made smaller to give alittle more time to fall before you have to open your chutes Human Cannonball - New obstacles to shoot over (or through) to get to the landing pad Math Gran Prix - maybe change this so it can have more than two players and have more (or larger) boards. Maybe change this so it could be more than math questions, possibly trivia or spelling questions. This could be the Atari's version of a party game. These are just a couple of hack or new project ideas. I have one more idea that would be great for the 2600. Make a version of (or game like) Cubivore for the gamecube for the 2600. Obviously it wouldn't be a 3-D version of it, possibly a top down perspective. You can morph into the different characters that will have different strenghts with your goal to be the king of the cubivores. Let me know what you think of these ideas. -Mike
bcostin
Good suggestions. I like the idea of breathing new life into some of the early titles. They often don't get the attention they deserve.
