Took a chance on a $25.00 'untested' lot of 3 games from a seller on the Atari Museum facebook group.
Needed Asteroids for my collection and figured an extra Ballblazer and Centipede wouldn't hurt for that price.

Well, all 3 games work great, and the seller even threw in an extra Ballblazer(!!) for free.

I'm swimming in Pokey chips now!  They are safe with me and won't be harvested for homebrews.

Man I gotta ask about this purchase. Last week I sold Ballblazer, Asteroids and Centipede on Atari Museum group untested for $25 but it wasn't to you and I didn't throw in an extra Ballblazer. Completely wild, nice score!!!

Been on a Realsports Baseball kick lately (I'm determined to beat the CPU opponent at least once on the 7800!), and I couldn't help but add the RS patch to my Atari collection.

Thanks for @Machine for producing these and including the sticker too.  Very well-made items.

Opening mail with some more recent purchases.  All these at what I thought were really good prices.

Lunar Lander marquee.  Nice to have a small piece of Atari coin op history

Bank Heist. Only 4 more boxes needed for my Fox collection

Gyruss. Tougher to find title

Galaga 7800. Difficult to find 1986 first edition with the black text

Awesome grabs!
And that black text Galaga is what prompted me to acquire and dissect the Baseball variant on the 7800.

I must be on the lookout for this one now.

Here's what came in this week.

  • Atarian patch
  • Star Raiders long box (new / sealed)
  • Atari DOS 2.5 floppy disks (new / sealed)
  • Asteroids 7800 (new / partial torn shrinkwrap that I removed)

I started my 7800 collection in January and back then, it seemed the common games were somewhat plentiful in new/sealed condition.  Recently it seems that the supply is drying up and new games are going for much more money now.

Nothing too amazing in mail call today.  I am happy to find a pair of the original tele games paddles released at the systems debut. Note the hang tab and original paddle labeling in the pic.  It even had the original Sears receipt inside purchased on 1/2 /79!

Nice example of the Telegames paddles, especially with the hangtab still intact.  I know you were asking about original non-Telegames release of the paddles in another post.  Good find!

Funny because I was also looking at a similar listing for the "Grabber" balltops and trying to compare them to the Gemini Gemgrip balltops that I already own.
