What did you buy today?.........

I checked Analogue: sold-out on every type of unit.

Checked ebay: I’d have to pay $390 for one ready for sale (auction over), and $50 for shipping.

Import-charges are pretty heavy over here.

And as I also need food, shelter and pay some health services… and the other music-stuff I’ll need,  I should wish I could just press ‘buy’, but think I must wait a little.

Perhaps.

Good thing you didn’t end up at such a buffet…

Well,  my Grampa (may he R.I.P.) used to say (for some reason),  "When you die,  You're dead for a long time."

Speaking of spending too much on handhelds...Well,  I've wanted an Evercade EXP (preferred Ltd Edition Black) for a while,  and also really wanted to increase my Evercade cart count!

I did get a couple of duplicates in this expensive eBay lot.

Does anyone need Technos Arcade I  or  Data East Arcade I?

So...

SuperQix.thumb.jpg.dac815f5c28c76a6800ca8ed8bdc2ed8.jpg

... I didn't realize this used to be a Tempest until I got it home.  Duh!

At least Super Qix mostly works. Got some rom (maybe V memory) and color errors, and player 2 button doesn't work, and that missing chunk on the cabinet.  Hopefully minor stuff.  We'll see.

I'm going to be building myself an Altair 8800 like it's 1975!  I've always wanted to get a real Altair to play around with, but the prices of these S-100 computers is just out of hand.  I knew there were several replica's available using emulated hardware with Arduino's and such, but I wanted something more authentic.  When I discovered that all the main boards have been replicated, including a very nicely done full size case, I knew this was the route for me.  I can build this with completely new replica boards or I can mix new and original, as this will be fully compatible with the original hardware.  Building this is going to be fun!

So far all I have is the case, front panel boards plus the switches and lights.  I have to commend Mike Douglas on the quality of this case.  The fit and finish are top notch.  Time to start placing parts orders!

Pile cost me $15 + tax. The Logitech Z506 speakers are complete and sound fantastic! I had a Lights Out for ages and couldn’t pass it up for $1.25. The PAC-MAN machines are just decor for the game room but cheap decor. My favorite kind! They do work but….. bleh. 😆

Lights Out! I used to play with one in the 90s and it was fun.

I have the same little yellow Pac-Man and yeah, it’s nice for decoration and that’s all.

For some reason that little Pac-Man looks fun to me.  God knows why.  5 minutes in I bet I'd be quite bored.   I think it has something to do with those LCD Pac Man watches that existed a long time ago.  Rather than think upon those with realism;  I thought about them with child-like wonder...You mean I could play Pac Man any time I want?  At the flick of a wrist?  ...  As if it controlled great with tiny little watch buttons, and really played like the Pac Man Arcade game hahahaaa...

Star Control! for the mighty Mega Genesis

This game blew me away when I borrowed it back in the day from a friend

I got so annoyed when Game Sack recently said Star Control never got a genesis port that I went on Ebay and bought it. Turned out to be in very good condition, a rarity for these cardboard-cased titles.

One of the few reasons (IN MY OPINION) to own a Genesis. Great find. :)

You're so lucky I was your Secret Santa last year instead of this year. You would be getting so many Genesis games ...

Over the weekend, I ordered one of these:

And I also ordered one of these:

I wouldn’t trade my presents from last year for anything! Especially some stinky Genny games. 🤣🤣🤣

Nice additions though I’m a Street Fighter player. I never could play MK with its block button. Just felt unnatural.

I always pulled back to block and made the most delicious target for Raiden!

Question - is that the small or the large version?

IIRC this only comes in one size (but I could be wrong). You may be thinking of another site (Ten Pence Arcade)? I have a few of those controllers and they come in various sizes. Here’s the link: https://tenpencearcade.co.uk/controllers-for-sale/

These are the ones I was thinking of. They come in 2 different sizes. I’m pretty sure that’s what you got thereIMG_2642.thumb.jpeg.c7f6cd981a55aa164879fadb8d7cd1bd.jpeg

I didn’t realize they come in two sizes. It’s not that big. I’ll take another pic of mine alongside an OG Vectrex controller so you can compare it to the OG.

<Edit> My controller is the "Original" version of the RadPad. The smaller version is known as the RadPad Mini, so I'm guessing it has a smaller footprint than mine.
