What did you buy today?.........

Oh cool, I didn't notice this thread until now but it's nice to see.

Today I popped by the local game store before I went for oboe lessons, and I spent a little bit of money on some stuff.

-Shenmue (Heard it's good, so yeah I'm gonna try it out)

-J.League Super Soccer (First time I've seen a Super Famicom game locally, pretty sweet if you ask me)

-A Dreamcast controller

-An SVI Quickshot I joystick for my Atari

Some decent pick-ups from Virginia this past weekend. I went to go see Guns N Roses and on the way back stopped into Sage Mantis and then 2nd and Charles. Picked up Magic Drop III for the MVS. Looks and runs great and a wonderful 2 player puzzler. Dinosaurs For Hire is a good one from 93 and has all that 90's Self-Aware "tude" we all know and love. If you start the game it starts you right at a later boss and if you actually beat it the game just says it's kidding and begins at the beginning.

I got 'FF Origins' (for PS1) --[fantastic condition!] and 'Civilization 5' for PC.........plus a very cool shrink wrapped solitaire game with Mahjong-style tiles instead of cards............Goodwill in a nearby town.......all for around 6 bucks!!

Laser Blast (2600) - I'm going for the Million Point Patch - Tried using Harmony - Machine #$%$ out after 800k - 4 hours wasted - will clean cart and machine thoroughly before next try.

Also got some xegs carts - finding less and less desire to keep the 5200...

I've cleaned out my local game stores. Used to collect Sega exclusively but I have no energy for these rising prices and I find I like Genesis and NES music more than playing these days. Got a HES 2 game cart coming.

Picked up a common Neo Geo AES game. Nothing special but was super cheap in NYC of all places. I will use it as trade bait.

The next find was quite a surprise and I am quite grateful for it. This was a free pickup from Craigslist.

DESTINATION II CRT MONITOR GATEWAY 2000 Model: DL31-1

Huge, it's 128 pounds and works perfectly. It has so many settings to adjust every aspect of the screen and a degaussing button so no discoloration. I hooked up my Dreamcast to it via VGA, perfection.
