+thanatos
Just saw last night that this got released about a week ago. http://www.theriftarcade.com/hands-on-with-txk-oculus-rift/ My first minute of play I just said "HOLY S***!" Can't wait for the full version. So far my Oculus has been really good for demos, this is by far the best thing I've played on it. (Well, Elite: Dangerous is pretty awesome too, but that one took an hour just to configure a controller and figure out how to get out of the hanger. Then another 30 minutes to figure out how to land. )
JaguarBrett
That would be awesome to try, appreciate the info =) Very excited to try an Oculus VR unit one day here soon. Tempest seems like a perfect fit for the technology as well. Very cool.
Reaperman
wow. I don't have an oculus, but it looks darn nice in standard 3d. Does it use head sensors for anything, or would I be able to play it in standard sbs?
+thanatos
wow. I don't have an oculus, but it looks darn nice in standard 3d. Does it use head sensors for anything, or would I be able to play it in standard sbs? Everything in his post implies it requires an Oculus for this version. It does use head tracking. (There are small bonus rounds between levels where you use your head to steer between targets!) https://forums.oculus.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=19321
sh3-rg
when morpheus is a thing and TxK is the pack-in, it'll be bye-bye jaguar and hello awesome (I'll still be rubbish at it and it still won't matter one bit).
MAYAman
Holy crap have to download this for my Rift. Thank you, I'm probably the biggest Tempest fan there is. I literally giggled when I saw this. LOL
