I started coding on the 7800 because of less constraints and more flexibility. Plus the 7800 needs some love with extra titles. alex_79 Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 I have little experience in 2600 programming (I didn't programmed anything worth sharing, anyway...) and by looking at the Maria chip tech docs, the 7800 has a totally different method to generate the display, so I don't think there would be any benefit in starting with the 2600 if your goal is the 7800.
