DaytonaUSA
So it turns out Play-Asia forgot how to send a package overseas to the US. I ordered one of the New 3DS consoles (the small ones we're not getting here), along with a few games. Turns out, Play-Asia in all their infinite wisdom decided to not attach a customs form detailing the contents inside, nor provided the necessary FCC electronics form they were supposed to send with the package. Here's where the fun begins. Fed-Ex can't seem to get a hold of them, and Play-Asia doesn't understand what they need to do when I contacted them via their support email. So the package is stuck in limbo in Tennessee. Yay. I've never had a problem with these guys in the past, but it's been about a year since I've ordered from them. Has the place gone down hill recently, and I just didn't hear about it, or did someone just mess up and I'm getting the raw end of the deal? Any advice at this point as to what I can do? They sent me the FCC electronics form in case I could fill it out for Play-Asia, but I don't have a clue what anything on the form means (seriously, it's like Legal mumbo jumbo, asking for numbers and asking for reference names). moycon
No help here. Last time I ordered anything from them was like 5+ years ago. I do live next door to Tennessee though, I can run up there and demand they give me your stuff!
DaytonaUSA
Ha, yea yea, thanks Moycon. I wish dealing with customs was that easy. It's just a frustrating transaction. Gotta love it.
DaytonaUSA
Well customs finally was able to get a hold of play Asia. Turns out that even though they got the FCC form from them it'll still take time to process this. I think that translates to a bunch of guys at customs playing the 3ds until they ship it back, haha. Atariboy
Hopefully it gets out of limbo soon and arrives. Out of curiosity, what sort of things can you do with a region locked 3DS? Is there much in the way of imports not available domestically that are of interest? Short of non DSi enhanced DS games via backwards compatibility and the recent retail release of half of Sega's 3D Classics library (With a 2nd volume with the remainder of the run presumably planned for sometime this year), I'd be hard impressed to find a use for one, myself.
