They literally didn't even try haha. No parsley my arse. That said, Chris Covell always went above and beyond with ALL his demos - quality stuff! NeonSpaceBeagle
I played tg16 all weekend! I finally set up my classic gaming section after finding these red stools. Tg16 is the star. Sharing because I'm so proud of it Question. I am using a cord extender for the original gamepad.. it's insanely long like ten feet. So u think it has any lag? I didn't notice any but curious if it does.
NeonSpaceBeagle
Is that FZero on the TG16? Will watch. I had so much fun with new adventure island this weekend. Really gorgeous game. I wish I had the onion thing to play CD games.
SlidellMan
Chris Covell programmed that F-Zero homebrew all by himself. He even made a series of videos on how to program for the TG16/PCE.

Tanooki
I used to own a CIB copy of Dragon Egg up until I let the PCE stuff go a couple years back, one of the best lesser known HuCard PCE platforming games. Without the translation it didn't hurt, but I guess it would be nice to see what's up all the same but I strongly suggest anyone give that some fair play time.
turboxray
I didn't have time to make a polished "hi-color" slide show for PCE before the end of the year. But I figured I'd left people play around with some test images (they're test images.. not polished): http://www.turboxraypce.org/private/test_images_improved_conversion.zip http://www.turboxraypce.org/private/test_images_improved_conversion_2.zip For maximum effect view them on a CRT... preferably on the consoles native composite video output (as they're are somewhat over saturated in RGB color space). Works for PCE/SGX/TG16/etc. Happy New Year! Edited January 1, 2023 by turboxray

SlidellMan
One thing about the Avenue Pad 6 that I found irksome is that so few games supported it. To be honest, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was one of those games that would benefitted from the additional buttons. Speaking of Konami on the TG-16/PC-Engine, am I the only person who liked its versions of Gradius and Salamander? I wonder if anyone here also remembers the two Vasteel games on the TG-CD?
Tanooki
PCE Mini finally got hacked, and by that KMFDManiac dude who is with Hakchi and does all those added cores and stuff for it. It's going through a lot of bug crushing, stability work, basically hakchi bulletproofing standards at this rate so there's just a video so far, but probably out in the next few months, summer, definitely this year and hopefully sooner than much later.
Steven Pendleton
I wonder if anyone will pull the Salamander near-Arcade ROM off of it and illegally distribute it on the internet. It's not like I want to illegally download it and run it on my real SuperGrafx or anything!

I just completed this last week. A great game with a lot more interaction than your average visual novel. I love games like this and wish there were more. If you guys have any recommendations, shoot them my way.
SlidellMan
I concur, one of my gripes with visual novels is the lack of interaction.

DragonGrafx-16
If anyone is upgrading to the new Turbo Everdrive and wants to sell their old one. Let me know. I don't need the CD function of the new one cause I have a Duo RX.
Steven Pendleton
Damn, that thing is like twice the price I thought it was going to be. If you have an RGB modded PC Engine this thing will be super awesome, but if you don't you might as well throw in the extra $10 or whatever and get the SHDS3 Pro and get the RGB mod, native HDMI out in case you want HDMI, and the SuperGrafx emulation.

+Charlie Cat
Hi guys, Cool video from Retro Bird on which out of the two units was more underappreciated. The TurboGrafx-16 or the Neo-Geo? I'll be posting this up on the Neo-Geo thread as well. Enjoy. From the description, "I compare the TurboGrafx-16 to the Neo Geo in terms of how much appreciation each system has gotten over the years. This includes a retrospective on each console's popularity back in the day, as well as nowadays. Which Console Is More Underappreciated: TurboGrafx-16 or Neo Geo? - Retro Bird / Which Console Is the More Underappreciated Video Game System? / PC Engine / Neo Geo / More Underrated " Anthony...
