You'd plug in your cart, select the game you wanted, and the machine would re-flash your EPROM for you (or whatever the equivalent was at the time).... **thanks to mainbyte for the pic Does anyone know of any of these programmers left in existence? How did they work exactly, and how many of us own the ECPC cartridges? ***I just find this completely fascinating, I gotta say. WHAT A CONCEPT!!! He had a lot of odd bits from ROMOX, and I think he mentioned having one of the programmers to me once. I have a few of the programmable ECPC cartridges, and a lot of the preprogrammed cartridges sold using the same type of cartridge case (the ROMOX and Navarone cartridges released in that format).
