Rick Weis
Hi everyone, i just got a USED DC game (gigawing) and it has some deep scratches on it! i have tried playing it and it freezes at the 3 level every time among other things (like graphic glitches) i got this game from mailorder (not returnng it) but was wondering is there anything that will fix this problem without it costing a lot? thanks for any help! RJ
I posted a similar topic awhile back (on page 3 of this forum) & haven't had much luck. Post your results if YOU do!
badbrad
They make cd resurfacers that supposedly work well, haven't tried it myself.
Invader_dag
The best solution is a thing called a Game Dr. or a CD Dr.(All the Dr. devices are the same). You can get it at Electronics Boutique or Bestbuy, or Amazon.com i imagine
RJ
My Game Dr has saved a few PS2 discs already, but Rick said his disc had "deep scratches", which may call for more drastic measures.

Mock
I just got some cheap crap from walmart that was less than $8 which is supposed to fix cd scratches...it's a fluid, not a rotary type fix...it worked on 6 of 8 DC games with bad bad scratches. RJ
Mock- what is it called? "Spin" something or something"spin"? You'd help quite a few people here!
Mock
The thingy from WalMart is made by Allsop and it's just called "CD-R Scratch Repair" it's in a blister pack and it has a cd case with lint free cloth in it, a small black bottle of fluid, says "disc grip included" and has a sticker that says "pays for itself in 1 easy repair" on it. It goes on like a wax, then it dries and makes a haze on the disk...you let it set for a while and harden then buff it off...worked on 6 of 8...I didn't even try it on a few others...going to go with the resurface option I think. Just yankin your chain in the other thread BTW... I think you were just jealous I started my own...LMAO. Mock
