Elektronite is currently working on its two next releases. We are planning to do a print run in about six months.

As some may know, we print boxes in sets of 3 as our printing die is '3 up'.

We are looking for a third title that is worthy of a 'CIB' treatment.

If you have a quality game that you would like released in a quality package, please contact me at:

space patrol is a left turn only game. There are plans to possibly re-release it.

I know, but it sounds like William is looking for a 3rd box to print (he has 2 games but needs 3 to do a box print run) and this could be great timing. Joe could use this as an opportunity to do his re-re-release in a gatefold box this time!

Wouldn't think the 3rd box printed necessarily needs to be an Elektronite release, could be LTO artwork but with Williams's die cut gatefold box. How cool would that be to differentiate from Joe's last SP release?

Those of us who don't have the game could now purchase at a reasonable price (I'd buy two), and collectors who already have an older version could get the new one as well. It shouldn't impact pricing on the older ones because it's so different.

Just a thought...

Of course, we've printed for other people on a run before. LTO Flash! was printed with Boulder Dash® and Old School.....Synapse's Aquarius Boxes were printed with Paddle Party and The Lost Caves of Kroz.....I can't wait to see that one carrying games. It is beautiful.

We also printed Christmas Carol along with D2K Arcade and Minehunter.

Of course having Space Patrol do a reprint in a gatefold would be cool, but it isn't as simple as one might think. The artwork would have to be re-layed down on the new die line.

As well, I think that if Joe does a release, he might want to take advantage of JLP cartridges. If he does that he' probably want to finish some of the 'super space patrol' code. This of course is not my call and I'd rather just find a quality game to publish.

I find it interesting that in other threads on AA that some people are lamenting not having a hardware cartridge that they can test their code on during development.

Just a reminder that we DO use JLP cartridges which have a programmer guide available to our programmers. We can and do hardware testing during development.

We pay for quality games. We do quality packaging. We have quality testers. We have a quality artist for our games.

Unfortunately I don't think you pay for mediocre games, or I'd be right on board!

More serious question: you say you have hardware for testing - do you have this available to loan out to programmers for the 6-12 months it takes to develop a quality game (for those of us that have, you know, day jobs)?

I thought Old School was 'mediocre' but it is our second best seller after D2K Arcade. Send me an email at gamesforyourintellivision@hotmail.com and we can talk.

Regarding a 'loan'. I have the ability to burn code on to a JLP cartridge and send out copies to testers. As new versions become available, they are sent out and old boards are sent back to be reused.

As discussed in other threads, most programming occurs using JZINTV and then hardware issues are identified as new versions are tested on hardware.

LTO Flash! is compatible with JLP cartridges and should be available as soon as Joe can find time for the final push. This will reduce the expensive mail relay of testing.

So, to answer your question, sorry, but I don't lend out my PIC Burner. It should be a moot point soon, however, when LTO Flash! ships.
