Mitkraft
I started watching this auction when it was cheap and I really wanted it but the price went way out of my range. Its a really cool bit of history. Was it any of you that got it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/151677117555
Omega-TI
I hope whoever bought it gets a working unit, because the "screen shot" the seller posted sure looks a lot like Tursi's "Classic 99" to me!
Gary from OPA
I have a few of those 'rare' salesman suitcases, back from the days of doing multiple ti fairs. There is similar one for monitor and pe-box, but i never got one of those, but I was able to borrow one a few times. It was neat travelling with them on airplanes, got questions about it, but they seem to treat you better with them, thinking you were some professional person, or something. Of course these days, sadly after 9/11 travelling with metal sealed cases like this will get you in locked room by yourself asking you to open it slowly from a loud speaker, happen to me once, after that i just use normal travelling luggage, plus even worse now is airlines charge so much for 'extra baggage', did you know they raked in over $3.5 billion dollars last year alone just for 'second bag charges'.
+Ksarul
I seem to remember these cases were advertized for sale in some of the earlier 99er magazines too. . .

Funny... This happens to me all the time even with just my wallet. "Just random selection Sir" is the usual excuse... Me thinks their randomizing algorithm is a bit skewed... Me thinks their randomizing algorithm is a bit skewed... You look shifty to me. I get looks, too, but because I travel so light. I ship all my stuff FedEx to my hotel and just carry a change of clothes and my laptop. I would love to have one of those cases. Have considered more than once crafting my own. Tursi
They always search me if I fail to shave before flying.
Diecrusher
I feel lucky that I found one of these complete with console, speech-synthesizer, cartridges, etc. a couple of years ago in the classifieds for $10! +Ksarul
There was a guy who had something like six of these trying to sell them on eBay about a year ago for under $50 each--and had no takers. . .through several auction attempts.
