Asmusr
Did any of us ever expect to see the likes of a Titanium (or even a Mad Marvin's Great Escape - which really should get mentioned far more often when discussing 21st century TI game releases) on our abandonned 4A's back in '84 (or 94, or '04?) ?? Most of us would have said, « Can't be done » to Flabbybird! (or to the smooth scrolling we now know the machine is more than capable of) War Zone II (Xevious clone with smooth scrolling) is from 1991.
Opry99er
I have a copy of War Zone II. Very good game, and looks awesome on the real gear.
Omega-TI
I have a copy of War Zone II. Very good game, and looks awesome on the real gear. That game was written by a teenager at the time! He was a member of the N.O.V.A. user group that I attended. He did some assembly language tutorials for the club newsletter, which a couple examples of his tutorials can be can be found in later issues << HERE >>. PeBo
Portal=Aperture by Adamantyr. TI BASIC only, no assembly. For BASIC, it is unbelievable. WOW! thanks for the heads up! (and for the video arcadeshopper) Had never seen or heard of it will definitely look for it. Portal is among my favorite games of all time (right up there with Jumpman and Lode Runner to make up the top 3 (knocked Dungeon Master down to 4th)). I don't know if you folks have ever seen these pics, since they're local (taken here in Toronto) but these two buildings are in completely different parts of the City. But the question is, who would be so cruel as to abandon their companion cube in a portal like that??? Edited June 3, 2015 by PeBo
PeBo
War Zone II (Xevious clone with smooth scrolling) is from 1991. Excellent point and excellent game (as was War Zone I). My bad for having forgotten it. In fact I think I'll go play it!
Opry99er
I blew a ton of hours playing Aperture when adam first wrote it. I had never played Portal before, and the concept was so interesting to me! BTW, those pix are awesome.
