Iwantgames:)
DAMMIT! This SUX! I have the day off tomorrow, so it looks like I'm gonna have dig into the closet and pull out the old 'TI hand wreckers' and see what I can do. Because 19.75 is the best I can obtain with my joystick. Now personally, I think it's because (ahem) I'm 'not practiced' in the 'requisite hand movements' as some of you guy's ... Don't feel bad I can't get under 20 lol Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3261023 Share on other sites
TheMole
It's been a looooong time since I got anything under 20... I swear, that was the last one! 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3261045 Share on other sites
Omega-TI
Okay, I never dug out my TI sticks today, but I went into 'training' for the match. I drank coffee and ate some candy (for extra energy). I was able to shave some more time off, so I still may have a chance. Imperious
Beat this suckers!! Well at least I now know how the "Competition Pro" joystick got its name. I used this as a test of my new Avermedia C985e Lite capture card. I outputted the VGA signal of the F18a into a cheapo VGA to HDMI converter, then straight into the capture card and captured the footage pretty much lag free, quite impressed overall. 5 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3262967 Share on other sites

BTW - Nice quality video capture! I hope to see more from you. I would like a VGA 2 USB frame grapper so I can plug the output from the F18A directly into my laptop and record it, but this one from Epiphan is really expensive: http://www.epiphan.com/products/vga2usb/ Can anyone recommend a cheaper solution that works the same way? It only has to support VGA resolution (640x480). 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3263058 Share on other sites
Omega-TI
Can anyone recommend a cheaper solution that works the same way? There is a USED one on Ebait, which claims to be in perfect working order CURRENTLY at $50.00 << HERE >> 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3263112 Share on other sites

BTW - Nice quality video capture! I hope to see more from you. I'm planning on doing some Youtube vids of other TI games, don't expect anything too fancy though. BTW, the final run in the video is the 16.50, that was the one I used the competition pro joystick. I used a standard Atari joytick for the others. You may be better with something like the Avermedia Livegamer portable, then edit on the PC. http://gamerzone.avermedia.com/game_capture/live_gamer_portable Also get an adaptor like I have. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-VGA2HDMI-1080P-VGA-to-HDMI-HDTV-Video-Converter-Box-Adapter-For-PC-DVD-/391089358015?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0ebe04bf Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/page/2/#findComment-3263340 Share on other sites
globeron
The Arcade joystick cannot get better than 17.55 at the moment: http://www.globeron.com/freedownload/services/TI99/Sports-TheArcade1755.jpg Great game. like Decathlon on Atari! Look fwd to the other 9 games coming up, I remember there was a 400m one ... and 1600m run ...? (I noticed that the timer of the 1st player is not running until the end-result).
