Hmmm...this point you have brought up is now making me confused again. Somebody please post something contradictory so I will know how to think again :)

I think you should get back to work finishing my order of 500 Boulder Dash Rockford metal wall plaques! We have to get these things on the market ASAP!!!

I don't think it is the entire reason. I can only assume it is PART of the reason......otherwise bring it up at all? Either it IS...or it is NOT part of the reason. Elektronite brought is up....not us. So if the email plays no part in the rom cancellation, lets strike it from the record and forget it was brought up. Sounds good to me.

P.s. Thanks for all your efforts bringing games to us. :-)

I have no idea what the reason for bringing it up, but I am sure the email had no bearing on this decision as the email was sent long ago.

I enjoy the part I play in publishing games, little that that is.

I would have imagine that a couple of low-serial-number sales would have made up for the rest. Just mint a few more #1s, that's what, $200.00 a pop?

I agree, low serial number high sales may have covered some of the costs, but I was not part of the deal between William and FSS and do not have info to make comment on that deal.

Is Halo 2600 a homebrew? Wasn't it programmed by Ed Fries the ex VP at microsoft. The Halo box was by Marc O I think. ...a homebrew box supplier. This one is making my head spin! Hahaha

Now totally off topic. I've been playing a great little game on 360. Check the live store for: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Its great.

Recently I pondered making their logo with some left over car dealership metals...

Wow, that does look cool, I may have to get the Steam version. I looks like a twin stick move and fire like Robotron?

Why am I still reading this thread?

It's like a train wreck ... the carnage is horrible, I don't enjoy reading it but I can't seem to look away. It's yet another "no good can come of this conversation" thread ... but it's either read this or another recently necroed thread from soporj ...

Then there are some great programmers like 108 Stars who didn't write any games bitd much less own their own software lables - these are the definitive "homebrewers" and I agree it would be silly to call them anything but!

Uhm, what?

I never claimed to be a programmer or to have written anything. Homebrewing is not just a programmer thing.

Homebrew is defined by the means of how a program is developed. In the case of Boulder Dash, it is an IP by a real, legit company, and a release on Inty by a real, legit company. Done by really talented people. But they did it as a homebrew, because given the tiny target audience it must have been a rather small side project and nothing they did for a living.

Homebrew. RGCD also releases C64 homebrew on a regular base, all legit and with newly manufactured cartridges. And Hucast releases Dreamcast homebrews by Orion. But the level of skill involved in the making or the fact that a commercial release happened does not change a game being homebrewed.

I've a more pretty exact definition for homebrew, anything under 10000 copies :), sorry everyone, you're Spartacus, you also, pardon :P, you're a homebrewer, you also, you also, you also :)

I hope this comes just before the thread lock.
