exxosuk
Genuinely fully refurbished drive modded to work on the Atari ST series. These drives have been cleaned internally & externally with antibacterial wipes. They have had the drive motor and gear cleaned and oiled. Drive heads have been thoroughly cleaned. The HD select wire has been fitted to match my 1.44 mod kit (or compatible kits). All drives are tested & working to the maximum extended format of 22 sectors 86 tracks. £22 each. Black fronts also available. I also have similar drives but do not support all extended formats - £15. For more info please see my store http://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/store.htm Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/239918-for-sale-floppy-drives-mpf920-sony-adapted-for-internal-use/ Share on other sites
Justin Payne
I hate to ask a dumb question but would these work in the Falcon? exxosuk
Should do, Though not sure if the drive ID needs changing or not on it, its been years since I changed my falcon drive so honestly can't remember. Though I do use a MPF920 in my falcon eitherway. exxosuk
I always use those sony drives. I have had some go faulty over the years, but they are old drives now. Caterpiggle
"Faulty" , you mean , it does have a problems issues ? Did you tested your Sony drive into Atari Falcon recently a moment ago ? exxosuk
My falcon isn't in use currently. I have always used the sony drives in it. If the drive is faulty, it will crash on the falcon when trying to access the floppy. Bikerbob
Last I chatted with Exxos he had sold out of the 920 drives, and only very infrequently gets a hold of them. I would contact him on his forum or website. Not sure how often he gets here.
