bigfriendly
If yes how much $$$ did you have to surrender to get it and how did you obtain it? Feel free to tell me your story as I would really like to hear about it. Thanks Scott Edited June 29, 2015 by bigfriendly
ntavio
At a CGE live auction, in either 2010 or 2012, a shrinkwrapped copy of Waterworld went for around $400.
kennybrooks
One sold on Ebay within the past 18 months. I believe it went for around $800, but I could be wrong, it may have ended up higher. The box had a crease in it.
Papa
No.. But I own an unopened can of whoop a$$!! If you really need the game I think it's on the Atari Anthology for several formats! (I understand you likely want it for collecting value, though.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Anthology
Mayhem
Yes, my copy of Waterworld is still sealed. Shrink has warped the box a bit thought, which is par for the course over 30 years. I believe I paid $75 for it, but this was 10+ years ago.
Kenjunior
River, why didn't you open/play it when you bought it? (I'm going on the assumption you bought it when it was released and you as a child vs a few years ago)

Ten years ago Atari was not a current system so it was most likely purchased as a collectable.
Philflound
I wish I could've gotten a sealed copy for $75. Phil
Mayhem
I'm unsure of the exact price, but it wasn't a huge amount. One of those "yeah I'll take that" moments. I think it was soon after or before getting the Quadrun, and I decided to go for all the Atari Club games. Took an age to find the Gravitar though... I bought that from someone who got it traded into his store for $1!

+RichG1972
I don't even own an OPENED copy of it, it's the Atari needle in the haystack
