JazGaming
I got my Jaguar with a regular Jaguar rf cord and it may not be working properly even though the video works fine. It's being run on a Jaguar rf cord but I have tried it on another nes rf cord and it has the same problem.

ovalbugmann
Don't give up so easily. Any sound on the Jag spinning cube intro?? You could reset the cartridges you have(check the instruction manuals here on AA(press*+#+option or pause on the title screen)), you could ditch the known to be terrible RF cable and get a composite connection cable, you could open it up and look for blown sound chips/caps. search here in AA jag forum for U38, sound chip replacement or caps blown or wrong PS/. try a different monitor. turn the sound levels to max on the games, monitor/audio. clean the cart port and edge connectors with alcohol. +rdemming
If you have sound during the the spinning cube start-up screen, then the sound of your cart is turned off in the sound settings of the cart. If the spinning cube start-up screen has also no sound then it is another problem. Is the Jaguar a PAL Jaguar? If so which PAL (UK or mainland Europe). The sound carrier of PAL UK/EU is different. So a UK Jaguar on a EU TV and visa versa may not have sound if the TV does not support the PAL version of the other region. Best is to use a S-Video cable (or when in Europe an RGB scart cable). Then sound/image is transferred without RF modulation resulting in a much better picture and sound. This will also make clear if the sound problem is in the RF modulation. I have a 7800 with a broken RF modulator. It still gives an image but no sound. But via the home-made composite video connection it still has sound. Thus it is possible that the sound part of the modulator is broken. Robert
