amigaman07
Hi All. I Repair and Service various Retro Computers, hence the name (amigaman07) including the Trusty Old Atari 2600, all variants. Recently my Personal Light woody 6 Switcher Died, so I took her a-part to Repair and Service. It was the "RIOT" or "C010750-03" Chip that had Failed, which is Un-usual for me, as I usually find it is the TIA "C011903" or the CPU "C010745-03". Anyway, I stole 1 from my Spare Parts Vader and Fixed the Woody! As I was putting the Woody back together, I noticed some Raised Text or Print on the Inside of the Upper Casing. It Reads... "PROPERTY OF ATARI INC. SUNNYVALE CA. 94086" Attached is a Pic. for all to View. Is this Common? As I have never seen it before in any of the Woody's I have Repaired, and I have done a Few! fujidude
I do not know. I'm guessing it was a unit intended for internal use at Atari, which after time made it's way out into the wild.
+DrVenkman
I have a Light Sixer with the same markings. If you do a search here on AA you'll see others have posted pics of theirs as well. I suspect these machines were store display units or loaners to company employees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
