oesii
Wow, didn't see this one coming. I'll have to test it out with Dragon's Lair and Super Don Quixote soon Email from macemu news: Posted Tuesday, April 8, 2003 by iug: This emulator was ported to the Mac at the end of March for the Mac. Here is a brief discription from their page in their documentation section. DAPHNE is a Free laserdisc game emulator that allows one to play laserdisc arcade games on one's PC. Using DAPHNE, one can play the following laserdisc arcade games: Astron Belt Badlands Cliff Hanger Cobra Command (running on Astron Belt hardware) Dragon's Lair (US) Esh's Aurunmilla Galaxy Ranger Space Ace (US) Star Blazer Super Don Quix-ote Thayer's Quest The main question everyone seems to want to know is whether you need a real laserdisc and a real laserdisc player to play games with DAPHNE. The answer is you do NOT need a real laserdisc player to play games with DAPHNE. DAPHNE can emulate a real laserdisc player using mpeg files. If you happen to have a real laserdisc and a real laserdisc player, you CAN use them with DAPHNE. First off, thanks go to (link: http://mac.emuscene.com/) Mac.Emuscene.Com for helping me realise this emulator was made, which they have found from (link: http://www.mac-emu.net/) mac-emu.net, a french Mac Emulation site. Go visit them both. You can download the emulator at Daphne's page (link: http://www.xmission.com/~redflame/daphne/d...-macosx.tar.gz) here.
