Rev had shared a screenshot of the box art and the way it looked to me the colours looked like they were getting lighter which it thought was cool and looked like the lighter water at the surface to the darker blue of the deep in the picture. I mentioned this to Rev and while it wasn't initially that way we thought it would look pretty cool and sure enough it does. Thanks to Rev my ridiculous game idea and box have both now come into being. I didn't realize this had not been done before but sure enough, you're correct. Even a box guy like me knows the game is more important than the packaging but this is about as perfect an example of matching the packaging to the game theme as you will ever find.
