bobmoo79
Hi guys, I have VJ 2.1.2 and have tried mapping the keys multiple times. I have the emulator running in an arcade cabinet with a keyboard encoder. I go into JAguar > configure > controllers. Host device = keyboard (no other options available) Map name = default Maps to Controller #1. I click define all inputs and make the necessary changes by pushing the keys in sequence. Those changes do appear to be saved because they appear the same when I next load VJ. However, whenever I load a rom the keyboard assignments are not what I have specified (e.g. "option" is still "O"). What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts. +Saturn
The 2nd post here is from the author. Didn't help me make them 'stick' though so maybe it's my laptop. Somebody else said to use JoyToKey but I have yet to try it out. I have XPadder and that's supposed to be helpful but again, haven't had time to attempt mapping the keys. Probably didn't answer your question but these are the only resources I know of. I had better luck with the March 2015 build but still can't stick the 7, 8 or 9 keys. Need that Superball cheat for B2K but it ain't happenin for me
ggn
There were some bugs in the controller mapping section. Try getting a more recent version from here
bobmoo79
Thanks ggn, I'll try that when I get home later. It seems Saturn has the same problem as me, even with the latest version, so maybe I'll need to try JoyToKey. I'll report back once I've done it in case anybody has this issue. I found this list of Controller#1 default keys on the net; A, B, C Buttons - 'A', 'S' and 'X' Option Button - 'O' Pause Button - 'P' Joypad Numeric Buttons - '0' thru '9' on the numeric key pad # and * Buttons - '/' and '*' on the numeric key pad Are these still correct? What are the defaults for Controller#2?
bobmoo79
Hello again, I tried the latest released from the link ggn posted and the controls DO now map correctly for Controller #1. Didn't even think to try it for Controller#2 though. Doh!
