Eric7100
What is the "once and for all" "correct" number of homebrews per year? In my opinion, if I had to pick an exact number, I would say 10 homebrews per year (from all releasers combined) sounds reasonable.
+nanochess
No, just the opposite. I said that I can't determine/control the actions of others, but that doesn't make the actions of others right. The easiest way is to say "Rev, can you please save me a copy? I'll get it as soon as possible", or better ask some of your friends to get you a copy to be paid later. "Right" doesn't apply here. Trying to slowdown the whole homebrew scene just because your pockets are empty is like trying to stop a river with one hand.

According to JasonlikesINTV's list, 11 games shipped in 2015.

Eric7100
Maybe the correct answer is 9 or 11? A lot more reasonable than 20 or above. By the way, "reasonable number" is a better term than "correct number."
+5-11under
A lot more reasonable than 20 or above. By the way, "reasonable number" is a better term than "correct number." I'm getting bored, but one more... "Reasonable" seems to imply an opinion. "Correct" is more about facts. So one persons "reasonable" could be wildly different than another persons "reasonable". Eric7100
Rev, you always leave. You left my PM (a conversation which YOU started), and you didn't even bother to answer my question about the ONE homebrew that I have an extra interest in, GFTG. I already expressed my thoughts on how the Intellivision Universe seemed to think that the amount of homebrews released from 2001-2010 was reasonable. I already pointed out how we survived it. None of us were "killed off" by the formula that existed. So that formula did not have to change. Please stop making me repeat myself. In the past, did homebrewers limit the amount of homebrews that were released? I think the formula now was the same as then. When it's ready (hopefully), it gets released. I think the formula now was the same as then. When it's ready (hopefully), it gets released. The "formula" was simply releasing less games than they do now. What was once deemed a reasonable number for an entire decade, now the releasers want to release that number per year. It isn't necessary to go to those extremes, because the lesser number worked just fine before. What's changed is the releasers' mentality that more is now better... it is NOT.
