TheMontezuma
Nice! Is this supported in RespeQt at this point? Yes, starting from Release r3
Kyle22
I received my SIO2BT and it works with my Android. I just plugged it into SIO, set up my Incognito BIOS, and it works. Thanks:) Only two questions: Are higher baud rates supported (such as UltraSpeed , XF-551, or Indus)? Is there a way in the App to send P: to a printer connected to the Android? flashjazzcat
The Incognito BIOS with 38 and 57kbps support hasn't been released yet, but you should have it by this evening. Also in the package is an SDX command line tool to set the baud rate of the SIO2BT module. With that done, everything will work at the highest possible speed.
TheMontezuma
Is there a way in the App to send P: to a printer connected to the Android? No, there is no easy way to do it I just checked Android support for printing documents and it is available starting from API Level 19 (Android 4.4 and higher). The SIO2BT app is written for Level 7 (Android 2.1 and higher) to support as many devices as possible, but it can not use features from newer APIs. On the other hand, RespeQt supports printing (as far as I know - I never tested it) and it can be connected via Bluetooth.

flashjazzcat
Here's the aforementioned SDX command line tool for configuring SIO2BT when unpaired: btcfg.zip Greblus is the only other person who tested it and confirmed it works, so it appears reliable. Start with no arguments and SIO2BT connected and unpaired for a list of switches.

Start with no arguments and SIO2BT connected and unpaired for a list of switches. I have just realized that the SIO2BT Android App does not allow to mount such files at the moment. The reason for it is that the app has special support for the XEX files (the XEX loader from the SDRIVE project). That's why the app checks roughly the file for correctness before it is mounted. The check includes the header file, which is expect to start with $FFFF. As I just learned, this is not the case for special Sparta Dos X executable files. I will provide a fix with support for such files, like for all other non standard ATARI executable files (that means without activating the SDRIVE XEX loader).

Level42
Maybe a stupid question, why doesn't this work on iOS ? Glad to see it should work with a Mac though.....I'm considering a kit....iOS would stop me considering.....

Glad to see it should work with a Mac though.....I'm considering a kit....iOS would stop me considering..... Well, SIO2BT works with RespeQt software running on a MAC. There is only no support for iPhones, since Apple doesn't want iPhone users to use Bluetooth for communication with other devices (Serial Port Profile is intensionally not supported by Apple).
