Tkat5200
Either I am crazy or... Didn't this game come out on the Atari 8 bits? and didn't it also come with a ton of pack in stuff (clues. a poster etc) like the infocom games? I remember when I owned this that it had a lot more than what I am seeing online now a days.
+orpheuswaking
It was produced by Freefall and published by EA in one of the LP style gatefold sleeves. The game came with a manual and the disk. Nothing additional. [edit ] - I'm specifically talking about the Atari 8bit version, which was the first. +CharlieChaplin
Small sidenote, if you like that murder-mystery or detective genre, here are some programs of the same genre: - Clue (known as Cluedo in Europe):http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-clue_21521.html - Inspector Clewso: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-inspector-clew-so_2585.html - Murder at Awesome Hall: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-murder-at-awesome-hall_3608.html - 221B Baker Street and Case Libraries: http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari_search_50.50.49.66._8_G.html - Sherlock Holmes (german, no download available as of yet): http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-sherlock-holmes_4628.html - Sherlock Holmes and...: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-sherlock-holmes-and-the-case-of-the-elementary-rescue_4629.html (probably just a text-adventure) - think I have a murder/detective game in my collection that is either named Sherlock Holmes or just Holmes... - Detective (ASP software) and Arthur Davis Detective Encounter Series: http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari_search_68.101.116.101.99.116.105.118.101._8_G.html (Arthur Davis Detective not available for download yet) - Time to Kill: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-time-to-kill_5390.html and maybe a few others... eeun
Perhaps there were a few different releases of the game. Some with just the manual, some with extras. I'm quite sure a friend of mine bought it for his 400 (possibly on cassette) back in the day, and it was notable because it came with several souvenirs or clues. +orpheuswaking
May also depend where you are located, Ariolasoft did the UK/European release, not sure what they added in the box.
