Dr Galaga
I recently purchased an Atari Super Pong model C-140. Does anyone know where I can find a parts diagram or schematics for this unit? It has some battery acid damage, but it doesn't appear to have gone inside the electronics part, but I want to take a look inside before I apply any power to the unit. How do I get the main unit apart without breaking it? All that I can get is the battery compartment open. Any help would be appreciated. MrRetroGamer
This is from a book, How to Repair Video Games, by Robert Goodman. I just scanned the 3 pages for you.

Dr Galaga
Thanks alot. Does it say how to take it apart? I don't want to bust something opening it up.
MrRetroGamer
That was all there was to the chapter. I'd assume that a few screws should loosen the case enough to open it up easily, though. Let me know of your progress.
Dr Galaga
I got it apart. There are 2 strange screws in the battery compartment. The heads looked like this: _ / So no screwdriver would fit it. I was able to grip one with pliers and the other I drilled out. Everything looked clean inside, so I applied power. The picture looks good, but it won't serve. Looks like a summer project. Mr. Retro Gamer - The book that you got the pictures from, is it a good book? Expensive? Where did you get it from? MrRetroGamer
You can probably search for that book on Half.com or another used book service like ABE or Alibris. It might run you about $20-$40 if you can find it. Like here: http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cgi?cpid...=1856&meta_id=
