djmat56
Hi all. Just acquired a 4 port 5200 and games for a great price and got it all hooked up to my TV and seems to work fine. Because I'm in the UK I understand the PAL/NTSC issues and, like I said, I can get a picture but just a load of static noise. I don't really want to attempt a video mod as, although I'm ok with a soldering iron, I don't want to risk anything seeing as I've been waiting to add a 5200 to my collection for a long time now. All I want to know is, is there a relatively easy way to get an alternative sound output from the 5200? Cheers Mat
high voltage
I had an NTSC TV in UK, and my 5200 worked fine. You sure you got NTSC in your TV?
0078265317
Are you saying your tv is pal and the atari is ntsc?
djmat56
yeah...TV is PAL and 5200 obviously is NTSC. I can tune the TV in and get a picture but the sound is just noise. I believe this is quite a common issue using a 5200 on a UK TV
