Keatah
Isn't 3.9.3 like an old version? \
SIO2
Isn't 3.9.3 like an old version? \ On the link provided by the OP it says: I have used version 3.9.3 of the source code as later versions seem noticeably slower. Amazing how many newer softwares get slower while computers get faster.
Keatah
Is it programmer laziness with aversion to optimization? Or less efficient high level languages? Sure, the two go hand in hand, but which one tends to exacerbate the situation more? Or maybe its the generic cross-platform toolboxes and libraries getting in the way. And yup I prefer 3.9.3, too, because of the comparative efficiency. Edited October 7, 2015 by Keatah
Aking
yet if you have a Zero , this is the perfect 2600 emu, even vsync enabled for those fast explosions... if you don´t have a Gcw Zero , it´s a lot cheaper than a Ben Heck´s portable Atari unit... Keatah
Yes. Could be that too. Emulators seem to get better, more accurate, and become more feature-rich with time. Which is what makes them so remarkable - they add features that the original machines didn't have like HDMI, savestates, screenshots, convenience, reliability.. The list rolls on.. ave1
I see the Starpath games are properly working now. Now, if only someone could make my Pink Panther prototype cart with its special RAM/ROM chip run on it we'd be seriously excited
