Pickup is a choice you can put on the auction listing. It's usually for large items like furniture, or cars. Maybe she put her default as pickup only in her sell page since she deals in cars.

Yeah I'm aware you can do local pickup option. It does make sense for valuable or large items. I don't see it used often for game auctions though, unless it's Stadium Events or something high dollar enough that would warrant travel. That Air Raid was POS for 2 grand. I hope Rosa gets suspended for pulling shenanegans.

Not a game... but the same car posted again. The first post never received any bids, and this reposted one is asking for more money, and it still does not have the spoiler.

With the holidays, it will be interested if he/she posts and more crappy reproductions.

Wait is that a Coleco Jaguar with Air Raid tail? Does that mean seller gave up trying to fake a crappy looking, obvious faked rare product and are resorting to shitty looking and still obvious fake photoshop? :D

I can do much better than the above image. I'm on my fiance's laptop and all she doesn't have GIMP installed. All I had to work with was MS-Paint! :P

Come to think of it, how does a car like this even get into someone's hands with all of the bells and whistles, especially with a working radar gun? I have no idea what the laws are in Australia, but in the States, the police may sell retired cars, but all of the markings and other stuff are removed (well, that is supposed to be done anyways).

Is someone here brave enough to ask if a boxed Air Raid reproduction is included in the glove compartment?

Yeah I see peeps driving around used Police Interceptors in the inner city areas all the time. The Bumper bars are usually still intact but there are visible bolt holes where the roof mounted flashing lights were. I imagine more bolt holes inside for all the removed accessories too. Some I've seen still have the driver side search light but it's probably a legal aftermarket accessory that I don't imagine they're sold with.

The pursuit engine and computer are all stock on these cars so there is no speed limiter (you could technically continue to accelerate long past the end of the speedometer tick marks, until you redline the engine in the automatic overdrive gear, but driving at such high speed is a death wish), also the suspension is very rugged with a good amount of travel. Most police cars combine sports car acceleration and handling with off road capability, so you could take it drag racing and still be able to jump curbs or go offroad. Most vehicles that excel in one area suck at the other, ie SUVs don't corner well, and sports cars aren't designed to navigate dirt roads.

I thought about asking Rosa if the fake Air Raid is included, but seeing as she's borderline psycho, I wouldn't want to piss her off.

Here in Michigan, retired cars are stripped of decals and any identifying information, all the computer and electronics, and the light and siren system. The pillar mounted search light may be left in along with bumper guards, beefed up car parts like brakes and shocks, and maybe the partition that keeps people in the back seat from reaching the front. There is an used blue State police car owned by someone near me, I see it quite often. If someone added an extra large red Dixie cup on top, it'd look like a real police from a distance. :D

PS FWIW used police car is generally not worth it unless you love to fix up engine. The cars only has odometer that measure miles, nothing about engine idle time in hours like tractors and construction vehicles, and police often spend a lot of time idling while filling report, waiting in trap, or blocking off road. The engine's actual condition is likely to be very well used relative to miles traveled.

"It's got a cop motor, a four hundred and forty cubic inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas."

Beat to hell too. Also WTH is that thing on top? A deafening "Air Raid" Siren or Jet Engine assist? Also Betty Boop in the Window says "hi." :D

I wouldn't think idling an engine would accelerate wear much. None of the parts are under much mechanical stress the way they are under load or when revving it up. For the record, I don't know much about the inner workings of these things.

I'm so confused by this thread.

1. What's up with the original listing? If the seller was scamming from the start, why say it sold on the side for $500? Why follow it up with an even worse auction with a different looking box and a fake-ass cartridge? The original auction was much more convincing.

2. Doesn't Australian ebay still charge you final value fees if you shill your own item up to $2K?

3. Is this why Albert is "away" right now? Because he's in prison for deformation?
