Laner
So I purchased an A1200 on eBay. It arrived and apparently the hard drive and keyboard came loose during shipping - something I didn't discover until I tried to boot it up for the first time. I took it apart, reattached everything, and it seems to be working fine, with the exception of the keyboard. All the keys work except for the QWERTY row. I have reseated the keyboard ribbon a few times, with no luck. I have an A600 and I tried that keyboard on the A1200. The keys are not mapped to the right characters, and the QWERTY keys are still missing in action. At this point I'm assuming it's something on the motherboard itself, rather than a faulty keyboard. Any ideas how I can go about fixing it? Thanks! Edited November 16, 2015 by Laner
Laner
Allright... I neglected to mention I had removed the installed EIDE'99 interface. Reinstalling that seems to have fixed the problem. Or the keyboard ribbon is just very particular and I managed to put it in right this time.
