Pagan
I recently picked up a JVC X-Eye and after fixing the simple lid switch issue for the CD drive I came across another one where the audio is very quiet. Both channels appear to be playing audio, however I need to turn the TV up to maximum to get what would be average audio levels. Looking at the bottom of the unit I can see two wires that appear to be a previous owner's attempt at something. I've attached pictures if anyone knows what mod they were trying or why these wires are here in the first place. The fact the wires appear to be attached to the white audio output and the AV out section. Before I go and just remove the cables I wanted to see if anyone who knows more than my nothing about this thing had a better recommendation. 7800fan
My X'Eye has the same wiring so I bet it's a factory fix. I'd start with recap. Weak audio is almost always caused by failing caps.

Pagan
I'll take another look then but an initial inspection they all appeared good. Figured those wires were a modder, the soldering job looks like what I would be able to do on it. Thanks!
