Remember, when you're Mike Kennedy, it's never your fault.

Well he apparently did write

...

I also wanted to apologize to you all for the delays that have plagued this second year campaign. It was fraught with lots of challenges, the greatest of which was the under-funding of the campaign followed closely with my supreme idiocy with a derailed side project.

My own interpretation of "side project" is the whole RVGS/CC ... or was that the Retro Gen fiasco he referred to this time or the NES Classic with extra controllers .... not sure anymore, don't care anymore.

I tell you how much I need and you exceed it but then I mismanage my way into needing more.

Because of some changes inside the RETRO team early on in this campaign, the cost to produce the magazine increased after the campaign completed.

I brought in the wrong people and let go the right people.

I do have a couple dozen shirts and posters that still need to be sent out and if you backed at those levels, and are still waiting you will get what you paid for.

They have been in my garage since around January 2016. They smell a bit musty but the Southern California climate has stopped them from rotting away.

This issue of RETRO is our shortest print run to date, with only 2,500 printed issues.

... but remember those healthy subscription numbers of 10,000+ that were quoted?

We're gonna need a bigger dumpster...

Was I the only one who ran this image through multiple reverse image search engines to see if it was stolen from somewhere and modified for the task?

Or maybe he really is printing new covers...and sticking old gamepro mags into them. No idea why I'd assume that.

Did Mike Kennedy have any experience within the games industry before coleco and retro, or is he a regular guy that just got involved with retro gaming?

He has plenty of experience. Playing games. Dreaming about cartridges. Doing youtube videos. Trying to bring a console to market. Publishing a magazine. That's some good well-rounded activity within the industry. What else need there be?

It's the whole attempt at cornering the market with cartridges.

He had the Jag molds. Everyone knows that's half the experience right there. Add to that that he was an entremanure through and through, and there's your experience!

LOL .... you should copyright it, seriously, like whatever the Carlsen guy aka "power goes in, videomanure comes out" thought he had as IP.

....

Remember, when you're Mike Kennedy, it's never your fault.

I want to requote it.

"Remember when, you're Mike Kennedy!"

just moved the comma and truncated ..... sounds like we have the title of the book, and it is very similar to his catch phrase for the CC "Remember when. Play again." ..... well it sounds more like a nightmare if you ask me but you didn't!!!

Big ego, big mouth, big dreams

thanks for replies.....so he's an opportunist,

but to his credit, I would rather have a snes in a Jag case than a Jag
