vectrexroli
Great stuff! I remember back then that I always thought about why Munch Man was drawing lines instead of eating dots. How is that Subocean game?

+mizapf
About that Munchman, we have an RPK / ZIP on WHTech as "Munchman beta" which is that version.

kl99
Maybe you'll get lucky and find the Plato Course Develpment Software in there--so far, those disks are thought to be lost. . . I found the Plato Terminal Emulator V2 and V4. Is that what you are searching for?

I just realized that Suboceanic game is also on the "2048K Games 1" multicart, there it is called Submarine Battle, really like those kind of arcade style games.

Adventure Source Code with original comments This sounds interesting - is the source code for the Adventure cartridge?
kl99
This sounds interesting - is the source code for the Adventure cartridge? I have not had time to figure it out yet. Could be it's for PHM 3041 or for PHM3189 Return to Pirate Isle or the Source code for the individual adventures. Here are all dumped Disks Images related to Adventure: d033.dsk d035.dsk d022.dsk d023.dsk d024.dsk d025.dsk d012.dsk d008.dsk d012 contains Sourcecode Files for sure. Indeed! d012 appears to be for the graphics adventure. The files on d012 appear to be for DSK2. with another disk, containing EQUates and possibly other code, resided in DSK1. during assembly. Files spread across multiple disks may be something to keep in mind as you sort through your treasures and store them for safekeeping There are some very interesting comments such as this, which reference GROM Simulation as well as the conversion origin. Neat! * WHEN INITG THIS ROUTINE GOES TO DRIVE 2 * AND READS THE DATA BASE INTO GROM SIMULATION AREA * THIS ROUTINE ALSO CONTAINS THE GROM SIMULATION ROUTINES * THE FILE IT READS WAS CREATED BY CONVRT/BAS * CONVRT/BAS READ THE FILE THAT WAS WRITTEN BY * RSIN/BAS IN ASCII FROM TRS-80 MOD I
+Ksarul
The Plato Terminal Emulator is something else--but it is also something I haven't seen before. Was it a module file or a program file? Nice little bunch of disks so far. On the Crossfire game, it made it as far as TI doing a qualification run (of 50-75 cartridges, if they followed standard procedure--Mike Bunyard told me the normal size of a test run like this, which is where the numbers come from). I have one of those cartridges--with real Crossfire GROMs in it. . .the game is also readily available as a set of program files, as it was one of the pieces of software TI released as part of their User Group Care package (contained Super Bugger, TI Forth, Lasso, Crossfire, and several other games and utilities, including some stuff for the p-System).
kl99
The Plato Terminal Emulator is something else--but it is also something I haven't seen before. Was it a module file or a program file? d036.dsk d021_retry_on_error.dsk d021_retry2_noerrors.dsk Here are the two disks. d021 was read out twice since I experienced a read error on a sector, the retry of the sector did the trick. Nevertheless I prefer to read a disk without having a single read error message. So d021_retry2_noerrors.dsk is the preferable. Since Plato always toys with Sector #1, the disks could further hidden files. Summary: Still have ~25 disks to transfer with 10 being Plato Disks 4 Review probably and the rest official TI Disks (EA, Writer, Multiplan..). Roughly 5-7 disks were not readable at all with the disk drive I tried (which read out 360K if I remember correct). Have a few other options for those still. Sadly all 90 disks I have transfered yesterday were only 360 sectors disks, so less potential for gems. Since those Disks contain private Lists and data from the seller, I need to check before publishing all. Only one disk of the 90 transfered disks remained to have 2 bad sectors.

Very interesting indeed. If the interview I plan todo kicks off, we might get some nice answers from the guy who designed the grom simulator software at TI all together. Is there some reference to BASGROM as well? That is the official tool for converting a TI Basic Program to run from Grom (Module) instead of VDP. Would probably be awesome to give it to Scott Adams
