Two-in-the-Belfry
I've never seen a Track and Field cartridge like this. Is it real?
Tempest
Yes it's the Atari 8-bit version.

InfoMan
That's funny. I was only aware of the 8-bit version. I had no idea until now that there was a 2600 version!

The 8-bit version is pretty rare, but not quite as rare as the 2600 version. 1984 wasn't a good time for getting games out the door.

Lynxpro
There's a 2600 and an Atari 8-bit computer version. The 7800 version may or may not have been completed. Is there a separate 5200 version?

Lynxpro
http://www.atariprotos.com/5200/software/trackfield/trackfield.htm Interesting. I wonder if they would've taken the existing Track and Field Controller and wired it for the 5200. Otherwise, the game would've killed even more 5200 joysticks. Funny how this proto has been found but the [possibly mythical] 7800 version hasn't.

They did that with the Apple II release.

Hmmm…well, they'd need a Y Adapter Cable so the keypad was still accessible… Have you tested that before, Tempest?

Rick Dangerous
I found a strange missile command cart recently. I know Missile Command was on the 2600 but this one just looks weird to me... Is it real?
Deteacher
At my local 2nd & Charles, they have the Track and Field cart for the 2600, loose for $6. They have the T-N-F controller on sale for $60, though.

The funny thing is that the controller is really common since it was also packaged with the Apple and C-64 versions of the game. I think Best was even selling them for $15 or so at one point. Two-in-the-Belfry
The original pic I posted was the game and the controller bundled for $50. I've seen the controller online go anywhere from $30 to $80.
BigO
Wow. Might be time to sell my controller. I think I paid $5.00 for it NOS a few years back.
