MotoRacer
Gone. Seriously, if you were looking to get one, do it fast. They've apparently been discontinued. Most retailers still have them available online (except for GameStop), but retail stores are already selling out of them. Our local Target, GS, Best Buy and Walmart are all out for good. Funny how we all drooled over the PS2 with it's black controllers when they first came out, and vowed to never go grey again... and now we're paying 65 bucks to go back to 90's PC grey again. If only someone would sell a grey casing for the system. You'd think that would be in demand, given the insane price tag for the original. Don't get me started with the sticker kits.... Anywho, hope this helps someone sitting on the fence, like I was.
Raticon
I got that controller and as far as i can tell the store still got some left. It's so nice with the original ps-logo on the middle button and everything. Didnt Sony release a limited edition complete all-grey 20th Anniversary system early on? I distinctly remember seeing adverts for it and on my way to hop on the bandwagon i saw the frankly insane asking price, turned around and walked away in tears and agony or something like that. Yeah, that's what I was referencing in my post . With all the 3rd party console shell makers, just surprised no one has started making knock offs. Raticon
I guess it's way too recognizable with the ps1-shell and would end up in court over some trademark paragraph... but on that point a more customized shell would be really cool, like a NES or a 2600, i dont know if that would be legal though. It's just a color though. It's not like they made the PS4 look like a PS1. There's that XOTRIANGLESQUARE pattern on it, but otherwise it's just a grey shell. They make chinese replacement black shells. If I was in the business of making that stuff, I'd make a grey one and watch the money pour in. With the grey 20th anniversary controller out there in plenty of supply, you could make your own kinda-like-the-real-thing 20th anniversary console.
