slab0meat
This isn't exactly new news, but next week, Q*Bert Rebooted is out for the XBox One.. I only watched a trailer, but I pre-ordered anyway... has the old and the new versions.
atarian63
Needs a ps4 version I assume there is or will be though yep..http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/02/06/qbert-rebooted-coming-to-ps4-ps3-vita/ Edited February 5, 2016 by atarian63
cimerians
The game came out on PS4 a while back (and Steam) My recommendation? Stay far away from it and save your money.
slab0meat
Stay away? The only real complaint I saw there was the control and getting used to it. I have Q*Bert on the PS3 and it took a little getting used to, but I don't mind it. A slower Slick, well, we'll see.... hopefully it's not that big a deal. Atariboy
Surprised considering the Sony connections. Too bad that the new original game was widely panned and the classic has issues as well like a poor d-pad layout that utilizes diagonals instead of the 4 primary directions.

Yup its just not that good. The sound is off (missing in places like when getting bonuses for the unused discs), the controls are pretty bad and its overall just not emulated very well. I mean if you DONT own Qbert already it might be worth just to have but I wouldnt pay more than a few bucks for it if that. The original Qbert on PS3 is a lot better, I compared both by firing them up one after the other. One of the few times I'll ever say "don't buy that old arcade game!" slab0meat
Won't be the first time I've bought a sub-par game, and probably not the last. Hopefully I don't hate it.
bloodreptile
Thanks for the warning. I was considering picking this up but then I thought it might be like burger time world tour or the boulderdash remake on the 360. Both good games but not the ones they promised. slab0meat
I've been playing both classic and reboot. A little getting used to, and not perfect classic mode, but I don't mind it. I'm glad I bought it.
Flojomojo
The ps4 version works on the vita. I'm such a sucker for classic games that are cross buy.
negative1
the worries abourt qbert are overblown. the arcade version has problems, yes - wrong number of extra men - but that makes it more competitive - wrong sound effects - doesn't impact gameplay - slick and sam don't always work properly other than that, there aren't any issues i know of. controls are rock solid - my friend rbr arcade has the high score at over 350k i myself have 310k, and many other high scores. qbert emulation is fine as it is. yes, the sony ps3 version is better, but it's not available anywhere else. later -
