eightbit
Guys, get in on these NOW. I am telling you that they are so worth it. Using a Genesis controller with both buttons functional is an incredible experience on the 7800. Night and day from the original pro controllers or even the Euro controller. I purchased a second one because I can't play the 7800 without them now!

imstarryeyed
Greetings Grips, Do any of you all know if these adapters will work the the Colecovision as well? I understand that the keypad would not work, but do these adaptors allow for 2 buttons on a Colecovision? A game like Cosmic Avenger, Nova Blast use 2 buttons that need to be pressed at the same time to produce fire and bombs at the same time. A game like Ninja Princess needs both buttons pressed at the same time to perform a 3rd action in this game its Ninja Magic. I am looking for a good solution to play Genesis controllers on my Coleco. Any insight you can give me would be great! Thank you very much.

eightbit
I have an odd question. Would this adapter work for use with a Commodore computer? As far as I recall it is not recommended to use a Genesis controller directly with a Commodore (say a C64 for example) because it can burn out the port for one reason or another...although I cannot remember the exact issue. For that reason I never connect Genesis pads to it. I just wonder if this adapter would make a Genesis controller "safe" to use... Actually, here's more on that issue: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/256707-sega-genesis-controller/?hl=%2Bgenesis&do=findComment&comment=3609399

You want something like the picture below, from page 47 here: https://www.scribd.com/document/8945979/Commodore-World-Issue-05

If not, there won't be a power supply for the adapter to translate the signals.
NinjaWarrior
Yep Pin 7 is 5V on the Commodore 64 On the Genesis Controller Pin 7 is the Select

Andromeda Stardust
for those who want to make their own Revenge adapter: https://www.oshpark.com/shared_projects/tzB557NP A simple Schematic and pinout diagram will do, preferably in PNG format as I lack the software to decipher this. I can fabricate my own breadboards with supplies (through hole please) from my local radioshack... BTW, thanks for sharing your stuff.

EDIT: Nevermind, they're just quad PNP transistors. Prolly easier to just use discrete components for the BCE.
