Mister-VCS Posted March 12, 2016 Share Posted March 12, 2016 32,010 (bridge 20) I would recommend the Atari ProLine (!) controlllers- much more precise than the CompetitionPro - before I sold my ColecoVision I was used the CV-version with the standard controller - which worked fine with RR. Scored bit better this time.. Now I'm down to 4th and I'm getting lower scores every go!! ballyalley Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 I beat my previous high score by a few hundred points: River Raid - 33,900 (NTSC, Bridge 19) I found my favorite way to play "River Raid" this round was trying to earn a high score on one life. Here's my best attempt: River Raid - 15,970 (NTSC, First Life, Bridge 10) Trying to get a low score is strange, but I made an attempt anyway: River Raid - 4,640 (NTSC, Low Score, Bridge 8 ) I tried playing the game using Sega Genesis 3-button and six-button controllers. As I expected, my hand didn't cramp up, but I had a much harder time controlling my speed, so my scores weren't any good. "River Raid" seems to be one of a handful of classic games that doesn't dull over time-- and might even get better with age. How is that possible?
