nshollingsworth
Anyone else think that it was a slightly foolish idea to call a game rip-off?
desiv
Good point.. I always thought the Amiga game"Virus" was a really bad name choice too... desiv
Vectrexer
Not really. The phrase was in popular usage at the time.
fiddlepaddle
...and your job is basically to guard and protect the treasure from being stolen. It's also a virtually perfect translation of one of the premier cooperative coin ops, a most excellent two-player game.
Vectrexer
My family and I used to battle, and also play cooperatively, Rip Off at the local Git' N Go. When it came out on the Vectrex it's one of the first titles I wanted to try out in addition to the built in game. So much fun. ledzep
One of my favorite cooperative games, though the angle of the control panel makes the tops of my hands lock up after a couple of games. But the pain is worth it! I think the only cooperative game that is as much fun as that one is Armor..Attack!. Well, also Space Duel when you play tethered 2-player. Look at that, they're all vector games, too, hahaaha. Man, it really annoys me that there were only ever like 30 vector arcade games made. I mean, I consider minimal graphics games like Night Driver and Atari Football basically vector games, too (even though they're not) but it's too bad that there weren't more of them made. The graphics looks so cool!
