Sleepy
Hi, in 2016, ABBUC also supports development of new hardware. The rules for this year´s hardware competition had changed (conditions of participationare are the same, but the rating modality was improved). Udated information can be found here. Please note the snap deadline is july 31, 2016! Sleepy Edited April 29, 2016 by Sleepy
+skr
I ask this here in public also to push the topic a little: Does "hardware in development" need a working prototype or will the theoretical Design (basically an idea with no detailed wirings etc.) with description what the hardware should do and how it could be attempted also count as a valid entry? Mathy
Hello Sascha You mean you want to enter something into the competition that consists of no more than an idea? Sincerely Mathy
+skr
I won´t enter anything as I´m not into hardwaredevelopment at all. Just want to make clear what "in development" means. Every hardware starts with an idea and sketches and drawings. Of course just an idea is not enough, but not everyone with a good, doable idea is able of prototyping and developing a product to a usable state. I like the idea, that one with a well researched and documented idea could enter it and on this way find a developer who brings that idea to life. What´s so bad about that? _The Doctor__
after reading the rules it seems pretty clear, your going to be sending in the actual hardware you created and the schematics and files to actually build/recreate it..
