+Propane13
Hey folks, I found this video from 2014: Any idea who is working on this? Is this a demake, or does this potentially work on real 2600 hardware (seems it may be real)? I don't believe the music to be real, but then again, I've been wrong before. I haven't seen anything about this, so maybe someone knows more than me. -John
Thomas Jentzsch
Look like a demake to me. To many sprites with no flicker.
+Propane13
I've been surprised before, so thanks for commenting. These days, I'm less certain of what Stella can do to hide sprite flicker, so I figured I'd ask. The cool part about this demo is that I would say that some of these scenes do seem feasible to implement on 2600 hardware.
Thomas Jentzsch
Yes, the demake is not that far away from what's possible.
CPUWIZ
That demo was written by AA user djmips, but it was many more years ago. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/146735-mega-man-2600-demo-game-binary/ It requires a SARA to run.
Thomas Jentzsch
Not the same.
CPUWIZ
I didn't click on the video. Character looked the same. Heh.
Jinroh
I was initially fooled until I read the comment section some years ago. :/ No fair getting my hopes up initially. Edited May 19, 2016 by Jinroh
