dphirschler
Today, I saw a munchman diskette (official TI) on eBay. I didn't know that existed. Says loads with EA or XB. I'd be interested in checking out the load program. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131804311235 Darryl
+Ksarul
Three TI programs normally found on cartridges existed officially on disk: Tombstone City (came with the E/A module), TI Invaders, and Munch Man. The original disks for the later two are pretty hard to find (I've seen copies come up for sale on eBay about six times since the year 2000). +mizapf
During my recent work in MAME/MESS on the cartridge images I found lots of games that have unusual lengths, for instance, beta versions of Munchman, Demon Attack, Wingwar and more. Interestingly, they all require a 32K expansion. It seems as if beta versions used to be first created with some GROM emulation, uploading the ROM part into the 32K expansion, and later they were burned on silicon. You can find the results in the file hash/ti99_cart.xml of the next MAME distribution.
